Advantages of being tall..

Which is best, tall or short?

My friends and I often discuss this, because most of my girl-friends are very short. Well, at least shorter than I am. My friends are about 160-175 cm tall, and I reach 178 cm into the sky. I can’t say that I always like being taller than them, becuase it’s not really that easy to hide. I’m kinda shy, so it would be nice to hide away sometimes. I suppose that is something I got to live with, so I’ll rather concentrate on the advantages og being tall:

  • I can become a model – Being a model requires you to be tall. Most of my friends can never become models, even if they really, really wanted to.
  • I can reach high places – I don’t need a chair to get to the top shelf.
  • I can walk really fast – My long legs take me where I want to go in no time.
  • I can see above people’s heads – Getting lost in crowds never happens.
  • I don’t have to look up into peoples noses – ew!
  • I don’t have to take up my pants – (Although I do have problems finding pants that are long enough..)

I absolutely don’t say that being tall is much better than being short. I’m just saying that there are a few advantages. There are also many disadvantages, but I’m not going to mention them in this blog.

If you have more advantages to add (or something else), please leave a comment:)

Whaaat? Very short? Well thankyou! :O I’m only 9 cms shorter than you, and you say you’re tall… It’s not that big a difference between us!

And btw: It’s NOT just the height that counts when it comes to models! :P You need to have “the look”, the attitude, etc. Also there are models who’ve succeeded even though they’re not exactly tall! Just look at Kate Moss! She’s even shorter than me! It’s mostly runway-modeling that requires a certain height! :) That was my model-talk of the day, I’ll try to never speak of it ever again! ^^

Ingrid: I don’t even understand why you argue about this.. Face it. 9 cm is a lot!
I didn’t mean that every tall girl could be a model. Only that we have a better shot at it than short girls.. ’cause seriously, name 5 short models you know of, without using google. The only one I can think of is Kate Moss.. (and yes, I knew this already!)

Hehe:P I just found it fun to argue with you… Therefore, I’ve just wrote an answer-blog-entry which defends us “short people”! :)

Here’s a quote for you :) “For a tree to become tall it must grow tough roots among the rocks.” – Friedrich Nietzsche. And no, It’s not in my intention to compare you to a tree! :P :)

    You are absolutely right!;)
Being tall is not something you can hide, and it’s not always easy. Finding clothes that reach all the way down to your toes aren’t so easy either.. You say that you don’t like to be 178 cm tall? Well, I reach ca. 180 cm into the sky. So take that! =p I’m not exactly shy, but I don’t like to be this tall. My friends tell me that I can become a model, but I dont think so. hehe.

    Love from me<3

It’s so annoying that they don’t make the pants long enough! Seriously, the “ideal” body contains long legs. Then how come it’s so hard to make long pants?!
